How do I turn on / off ClearType font rendering?
ClearType is a technology that smoothes the edges of fonts in an attempt to make text more readable, especially when text is small. The smoothing effect can sometimes make the text look “fuzzy”. Some people like ClearType, but others find that it causes eye strain. IE7 typically enables ClearType by default. If you would like to enable/disable ClearType, do the following… Click the “Tools” button: The “Tools” button is found on the main toolbar which by default is near the top right of the IE7 window: When you click the “Tools” button you’ll see a menu. Select “Internet Options”: This will cause the Internet Options box to appear. Click the “Advanced” tab and then scroll down to the “Multimedia” section of advanced settings.
