Using Windows Media Player 9 Series, go to WMP’s Tools:Options:Security dialog and uncheck “Run Script Commands When Present”. For older players, this should cover you. This fix contains this feature. Also, this support article addresses the issue in more depth. If you have any problems with turning these off (for example, if the patch doesn’t work for you), contact product support as it says to on this page.
