How do i tune my guitar in drop d?
Tune the Guitar to E Standard… which is the basic guitar tuning. Take the E string and tune it DOWN 1 whole step. Each fret is a half step. Your tuner will probably work, but may depend on if it’s a piece of crap or not. Easiest way is put your finger on the 7th fret on the E string. Play that string along with the A string, and tune the E string down. They will both sound like the exact same note.
