How do I Troubleshoot an Asus P5GZ-MX Motherboard Jumper Setting?
The ASUS P5GZ-MX motherboard allows you to reset the CMOS settings and change the graphics mode through the jumpers on the board. A jumper — a small, rectangular, plastic piece — installs to a set of pins that control the configuration of certain settings. The CLRTC (Clear RTC RAM) jumper erases the CMOS, deleting values such as the date, time and system hardware configuration. The PCI-E mode selection jumpers allows the user to switch from onboard graphics to an add-on video card, or visa-versa. If your computer fails to remember your hardware settings, or can’t display video, check the jumpers on the ASUS P5GZ-MX motherboard.
