How do I transport personal weapons on airlines?
PreparationYou may transport most types of weapons on airlines as checked baggage, according to the Transportation Security Administration. Weapons are not allowed as carry-on items. Firearms must be unloaded, packed in a hard case and securely locked. Other types of weapons must be wrapped securely.
