How do I transplant bamboo cuttings?

0

Cut a long stalk of bamboo from a plant that is younger than three years old. Chop off the top of the bamboo stalk and the bottom; for best results use the middle for your cuttings where the stalk is softer. Each cutting should have at least two nodes. Nodes are the joints that sprout shoots. Trim off any leaves or shoots. Transplant the bamboo cutting into earth (as soon as possible) past the first node, keeping one node above the ground. Most soil is suitable for bamboo, except rocky soil. Pour water (approximately 2 cups) into the top of the bamboo cutting each day. The water will seep down the center and into the earth.
