If the flat roof is coming off the hip side you can nail a ledger board under the soffit put in rafters and purlinsand slide the metal under the soffit make sure ledger is flashed in case water backs up due to low pitch and I would add gutters if you have room between the new roof and existing facia ctm Alva FL
