How do I transfer old email (incl folders) from yahoo to outlook?
To the best of my knowledge there is no way to directly transfer the emails and folders. Yahoo Mail is IMAP and Outlook uses POP. Yahoo mail does not have a utility to export your inbox and subfolders to a .pst file which could then be imported into Outlook. However, a couple of ideas for work around: Mark all of your emails in Yahoo mail as “unread”. Set up your Outlook account to check the Yahoo IMAP mail account (see tools/options/accounts in Outlook – see link below) and let er rip. Outlook should pull all of the unread emails. You can then just mark them all as read and you’re set. An alternative would be to forward the yahoo mail items you want to keep to your POP 3 account and then pull them using the POP 3 account settings in Outlook.
