How do I transfer my files back and forth between my Windows disc and my cisunix account?

We will discuss this at length in lecture, but since this question inevitably haunts some students despite the lecture coverage I will include an answer here as well. To transfer files between two computers on the Internet, you generally need to use some sort of FTP client. Since it is free to students and installed on all the cluster computers, I generally recommend WS_FTP LE as the FTP client to choose for use with Windows. If you have not yet downloaded and installed your own copy of WS_FTP LE, you can download it from most of the major software collections on the Web. Whenever you run WS_FTP, your first step will be to connect with an FTP server running on the computer with which you wish to share files. In this case, that means connecting to the host named cisunix.unh.edu. When you run WS_FTP the first thing you will see is the Session Properties dialog box. You must use this box to establish the proper connection with a server, or your client software will not be able to do anyth
