How do I transfer an audiobook to a portable device?
Transfer a title to a supported portable device using the Transfer Wizard in OverDrive Media Console v3.0 (or newer) as follows… • If you have not already done so, verify that the permissions on the title allow you to transfer the file to your supported portable device (publishers may opt to disable this functionality for certain devices). For instructions on verifying device compatibility, click here. • Connect your portable player to your computer. • In OverDrive Media Console, highlight the title you wish to transfer and click the ‘Transfer’ button. The OverDrive Media Console Transfer Wizard is displayed. • Verify that the correct title is displayed on the first screen of the Transfer Wizard and click ‘Next’. The Transfer Wizard will search for a connected portable device. If your device is detected the ‘Confirm’ screen is displayed. iPods and iPhones • Be sure your iPod is connected to your computer. • Go to your Bookshelf in MyiLibrary Audio. You will have to enter your library card number and password. • Click on the button in the Downloads section of your Bookshelf. • If you have already installed the Ingram Media Manager (IMM), click on the button to start the download. • You can listen to the audiobook on your computer with Ingram Media Manager as soon as the first section has downloaded. Once the entire audiobook has been downloaded, you can move it to your iPod or other Apple device. • To move the file, select the Transfer menu option, under the file menu in Ingram Media Manager, or click the “Transfer” button in the dialog box that appears when the download is complete. • Click on “iPod” as the device you wish to transfer the audiobook to. • Ingram Media Manager will check your iPod to make sure you have space for the book you are transferring.
