1) Pine stores its address lists in a file called .addressbook which is stored in your UNIX home directory. 2) Open IMP by going to here . 3) Enter your username, password and select the correct IMAP host, to enter. 4) Press ‘Address Book’ on the top menu bar. 5) Go to ‘Import / Export’ on the top menu bar. 6) Where it says ‘Select the format to import from:’ select Pine Address Book . 7) Where it says ‘ Select the destination to import to:’ select My Addressbook . 8) Where is says ‘Select the file to import:’ browse to your .addressbook file and press the Import button. 9) You should now see a notice saying ‘ Pine addressbook sucessfully imported’ – which shows that your address book should now contain the new addresses.
