How do I train myself to get into better shape to run a faster mile?

I use to suck in running, I’m 13, and I started about 2 years ago. Don’t aim for a mile yet. Exercise about 2-3 a week. Just start running a half mile, but fast. Take a break the next day, run a mile the next day, but take your time! Skip the next day, run a mile slow again. It REALLY helps! Trust me! Do not just do a slow mile, and another slow mile. No! Let your body get used to running fast and slow, AND running fast but a shorter distance. If your body gets used to ONLY running far distances, you will stay fit, but you won’t train your body to do harder stuff. Okay, so, 2-3 times a week, fast AND slow (very important), far AND short distances. If you start getting use to that, you should try running your mile a little faster, until you feel as though, this is enough for now for your body. P.S, ONLY run when your body tells you to, AND when the gym teacher tells you (but that’s at school, and I’m talking about running at home). Good Luck! Remember to not put too much pressure on you
