If you can walk to and from work, even getting up but bit earlier to do it (maybe not practical with long hours). Or cycle to/from work. Walk up and down stairs rather than taking the lift. If it is a lot of stairs, say you work on the 12th floor, work up to the full wack of stairs. Get out of the lift, say, 4 flights before your floor, then gradually extend your stair-walking quota. Invest in a elliptical training machine – mine cost the equivalent of about $150 – put it in a corner of the living room and hop on it and move while you are watching the TV, or even conversing (or reading). Gradually increase the load against which you are stepping, keeping your posture tall as you go. To increase tummy tone, hold your belly in (as you remember) during the day for isometric exercising. As for fastest, if you do this every day, and do enough, you should soon feel (and be) fitter.
