It sounds like you are a very inexperienced kitten owner. You and your dad need to be realistic and realize that there is no such thing as owning a pet and then expecting it not to cost you anything to care for it. When you bring a pet home, it becomes your child and you are responsible for it. Make sure you take your kitten to the vet for its baby shots and worming and get it fixed when it’s 6 months old. You have to buy a litter box and fill it with Clumping Litter – I like Tidy Cat . Cats and kittens instinctively will go to the bathroom in a litter box. Twice a day, I scoop out the hard lumps and feces. I use 2 plastic grocery bags – tie the bag into a knot and toss it into a large trash bag which goes into the outside trash can once or twice a week. You may have to add a little more clumping litter during the week. I also use Arm & Hammer Litter Box Deoderizer a few times a week.
