How do I test that print head is operating correctly?
Once the print head has been cleaned and/or the cartridges reset, the best way to test the system is to run a demonstration page (4300,4400, 4550) or a print test page (BJC 2000, 5000, 5100). Both test pages can be found under your printer property page. In both tests, the color bands should not have white lines running left to right across the color swatch or windows logo. If white lines do appear reattempt the cleaning. On the BJC-6000 a nozzle test may be run by holding down the resume button until the units beeps twice and the BJC-2000 series by depressing the button 2 times. On the BJC-3000 you press and hold down the resume button until the green light flashes twice, and then release. There should not be any breaks in the matrix except at the extreme top and bottom edges of each color. In all cases refer to the user manual for additional information.
