How do I test cd burning on delivery of the computer to a new customer?
Insert a blank cd into the cdrw drive. If prompted for an action select Create New CD Using AHEAD Nero. Alternatively, from the Start menu, select Nero, Nero Express (or similar program as installed for your pc). When prompted for type of project select Data, Data Disc Click Add to add files. Navigate to Sample Music (My Documents, My Music, Sample Music). Highlight one of the music tracks and click Add. Click Finished. Click Next. Ensure “Allow files to be added later” is checked and “Verify data” is unchecked. Click Burn. Click OK when the burn process is complete. Click Next and Exit and No to exit Nero. Reinsert the cd and Windows will either launch MediaPlayer or Musicmatch, or present a list of options. If a list is presented, select either MediaPlayer or Musicmatch. The music sample you selected should now play. You can add further data by launching Nero and adding more files to the burn list as described above.
