How do I tell if I have a 1st or 2nd generation nano??

The 1st generation Nanos also have a rectangular profile if you look at them from the top or the bottom. The 2nd generation Nanos come in a variety of colors- Red, Black, Silver, Green, Pink, and Blue. They are the same color on the front as on the back- the shell that they are encased in are all one piece. The 2nd generation Nanos have and oval profile if you look at them from the top or the bottom.
