How do I tell a real LS6 Chevelle or LT1 Corvette?
These cars can be extremely difficult to verify authenticity. We already know there are more LS6 Chevelles on the road than were ever produced. There is no way to verify the original engine placed in the vehicle from the VIN on these vehicles. This was a very bad mistake for GM. Many people have been ripped off. GM just anounced they will start releasing MSO’s (manufacturers statement of origin) and build documents on 61-72 Corvettes by year end 2010 and I would guess Chevelles will soon follow.
