How do i tape joints on plasterboard?

You need a special tape that you can get from most DIY shops. As far as I know, it’s just called “Plasterboard Joint Tape” (I don’t think there is a special name for it) and is in a mesh formation with one side being sticky. You just need to roll it on, as you would expect, along the join between the boards and smooth it down. It gives a better finish to plaster onto if you use tapered edge plasterboards. These have a small recess along each long edge to allow the tape to sit flush with the surface of the rest of the board.
