How do I take the enteral feedings?
Enteral feedings are given to the patient by a tube that is inserted into the stomach. This tube may be a longer tube that is passed through the nose and into the stomach. More commonly, the patient receives a small tube that is inserted into the stomach through the wall of the abdomen. A small flat device is left of the surface of the skin that the feeding tube is inserted into.
