How do I take care of sage?

0

Sage is an herb that likes heat and lots of sunlight. It can easily be grown in containers. It does not like soggy roots so water it only when needed and make sure the pot has good drainage. They are really an easy plant to grow. The more you trim the plant back the bushier it will get. You can easily overwinter it in the house if you live in area with cold winters and treat it like a houseplant…as long as you keep it in area with lots of light. If you decide to bring it in house…trim the plant back to about a 5 or 6 inch base and give it a good dose of fertilizer.
