If you are running the X window system, you can put the following into .xmodmaprc remove Lock = Caps_Lock remove Control = Control_L keysym Control_L = Caps_Lock keysym Caps_Lock = Control_L add Lock = Caps_Lock add Control = Control_L Hidden Hint: Use (xmodmap -e “pointer = 3 2 1”) to make the mouse lefty friendly.
