How do i switch from demand breastfeeding to formula?

Firstly, I don’t use formula, so I don’t know if that is different. But I pump, and my baby takes breastmilk from a bottle when I work. (And, if you have the option, I would totally try pumping, it’s not nearly as hard as it sounds…but formula is a great option, too!) Anyway, I based how much milk I put in the bottle and how many bottles I leave at home with the caregivers on what my daughter does. They feed her when she is hungry, just like when I breastfeed. You do not have to force feed her a bottle, nor do you have to wait for longer stretches so she is starving. Just do what comes naturally to you and her. You will soon learn what a “full” bottle is for her, and how often she would like a bottle. Good luck!
