How do I stream audio/video with RealServer?
• Make sure your hosting package supports Real Audio/Video • Encode your audio/video using RealProducer and use the .rm extension when nameing this file. • Notify support@merchbox.com of which domain you wish to activate RealServer for (not activated by default) • Once activated, create a meta file in your DocumentRoot with the text in italics below. In this example, we’ll use the filename mydomain.com/musicfile.ram: rtsp://mydomain.com:554/mydomain.com/musicfile.rm –stop– pnm://mydomain.com:7070/mydomain.com/musicfile.rm Replace “mydomain.com” with your domain name, and “musicfile.rm” with the name of your audio/video file. • Place your audio/video file in the rafiles directory in your home directory. In this example, that would be rafiles/musicfile.rm. NOTE: If the rafiles direcotry does not exist in your home directory, then Real Audio/Video access has not been activated. • Use an anchor tag to link to the .ram file. i.e.: musicfile.
