Yeah don’t do what the one answer suggest and wash the parts with thinner! That will cause fish eyes in the paint if not wrinkles! Just use regular dish or laundry soap and water, that is what I normally do and so do many pro body shops (they also have a special product designed for wiping cars before painting, think it is call klensol) Also floopydick is correct in saying you can’t get a pro look with a spray can. Also putting light coats will look worse then thick and don’t wax it the next day it will just turn it white with a film of wax you can’t buff off. If you insist on doing it with a spray can……make sure you get it as think as you can without runs, do it in the shade not the sunn so the paint has a chance to level out a bit before drying, use engine enamal (high heat) it always goes on nicer and gets shiner, never go back over where you have been you need to overlap your strokes about 70% and keep going, don’t stop or go back till you are done the part.
