How do i stop my cat pooing oh the kitchen floor?!?
Get two more litterboxes. A general rule of thumb whenever you have a cat with litterbox aversion is to have one litterbox per cat, plus one. Also, make sure that you have a litterbox on each level of your home, if you have a basement or upper floors. Make sure the litterbox is in a quiet secluded location. Sometimes a loud or scary noise happens while a cat is using the litterbox, and it makes them afraid to ever use the litterbox again. Put a piece of furniture or a box or something on the spot in the kitchen where she tends to poop, to try to break her of that habit. Don’t let her back to that area until the habit is broken. Occasionally, pooping out of the box is a symptom of a medical problem. If you cannot stop her behavior, be sure to go to the vet and get her checked out. Sometimes, ironically, it’s a urinary tract infection that causes them to POO out of the box. She may have intestinal parasites, as well. Good luck.
