How do I stop my cat from shredding and eating Paper Towels?
Train him not to get on the kitchen counter, not just for the towels, but because if you don’t it will cause you no end of grief over the next 10 to 20 years you will own him. If you are consistent and every time he gets on the counter provide some negative reaction, such as removing him and saying no loudly, spraying with water, or hitting with a newspaper it can be done. Keep him out of the kitchen when you are not there to stop him until he is trained. You might even put a roll of towels on the floor for him to play with for a while, and remove the temptation to get on the counter until he is trained.
