How do I stop/disable SpyCatcher and continue to use the rest of GhostSurf Platinum?
Disable the Protector Service and delete SpyCatcher from Startup: 1. Disable PROTECTOR service as follows: Start —> Control Panel —> Administrative Tools —> Services Select the Protector service, right click and then STOP. Next right click again on Protector and select PROPERTIES —> under STARTUP TYPE select DISABLE. 2. You will need to delete Spycatcher from your startup programs group: START —> ALL PROGRAMS —> STARTUP —> right click on SPYCATCHER And chose DELETE. This second step will ensure that Spycatcher will not try to start when you reboot. It will fail because Protector is disabled, but it is best to just get rid of SpyCatcher from Startup. Reboot. To re-enable SpyCatcher: 1. Enable PROTECTOR service as follows: Start —> Control Panel —> Administrative Tools —> Services Select the Protector service, right click and select Start.
