Placing the Tomato SeedsPlace one sheet of paper towel on a plate, saucer or flat surface. Lay five to eight tomato seeds in the center of the paper towel. Space the seeds 1 inch apart. Place another sheet of paper towel on top of the seeds. Fill a spray bottle with water. Use the spray bottle to spray the paper towels until both sheets are damp but not soaking wet. Fold the top quarter of the paper towel down over the seeds. Fold the right and left sides inward over the seeds. Lift the bottom section over the seeds.Germinating the SeedsPlace the damp sheets and seeds into a plastic sandwich bag or a clean glass bottle with a lid. Put the bag or jar in a dark area. Check the seeds in three to five days to see if they have germinated.
