How do I start to grow a orange tree in fl?

Orange trees are grafted onto stronger roots and as I understand it, you have to be sure that anything you let grow is above the graft. I bought a juice orange tree but had a huge old orange tree on my property that turned out to have sour oranges. I assume it died and the root grew back. Now that I am diabetic I use the sour oranges and sweeteners for orange juice and it is great for marinades. I found some lime trees for sale at the end of the season for $4 so you don’t really have to spend a lot. At the beginning of the planting season, they will be at their highest. I met a lady that was into gardening where I used to live and she grafted a different type of apple onto her apple tree and so each branch had different apples. That’s an interesting idea.
