How do i start over in a diffrent state?
Really recommend you take short vacations to both states. You have plenty of time to do so. In both Wyoming and Montana the eastern parts or rather flat-more prairie like. Western areas are more mountainous. Winters in both seem to come early and stay late. –30f is not unusual. That said or written, I lived in Wyoming for several years and it is still one of my most favorite places. Once you have narrowed down your search to a few towns or cities you can go on line. Most have online papers where you can view housing, employment and more. Take your time. Secure employment first. Then you have an idea how much you can afford for housing. My company had me in the Bay area for a couple years. Spent three days a week in LA thus understand your complaints. Just do not hurry. Make sure you understand the good and bad points of where you want to relocate. I now live in Missouri. And while no mountains we do have nice four seasons with good job opportunities and recreation.
