It is important to note that this is not the same as opening and closing the System Guardian Administrator. The Administrator can be started and stopped independently of the Guardian failover protection service. System Guardian’s failover protection is started or stopped through the Administrator’s Configuration view by clicking the Enable/Disable toggle button. The Administrator must be running in Advanced Mode to use this option. To stop, or disable, the Guardian service when it is enabled, click the Disable System Guardian button. To start, or enable, the Guardian service when it is disabled, click the Enable System Guardian button. This button is a toggle button that switches between enable and disable based upon the current mode.
