How do i start a sketch journal book?
I don’t bother with conventional sketch book. I gave up that a long, long time ago. I prefer loose sheets to any ordinary sketch book which has limitations I don’t like: for instance, no moving of sketches in any desired order. I like keeping sketched loose sheets inside plastic clear pockets of display book. I place sketches in any order I like, remove whatever I don’t like and replace those with new ones. Ordinary bonded book wouldn’t allow me to do that. Advantageously with pocket books, I often make any number of changes within, remove loose sheets for comparing studies with one anothers or do whatever. Moreover, pocket books keep drawings cleaner than bonded or gummed sketch books. I have over 6 sketch books, mostly pocket books. A few on floral sketches, one or two on life drawings, etc.
