How do i start a debate condeming thomas jefferson as a bad man?
I guess it depends on what type of view you want to take it from. Do you believe he really was a bad man? I can come up with a few things that you can twist into your argument if that’s the case you’re taking- though I don’t really condemn him as one. 1.) Sally Hemings- Obviously there are going to be some rebukes to this, but the fact in the matter is that it is still here. Sally Hemings was a slave of Jefferson, and also said to be a sort of concubine. It is argued back and forth if it really was him that fathered her children, but the fact that there was a DNA test that confirmed a genetic link between the Heming offspring and Jefferson cannot be denied. A few of the doctors in the house that participated in this event have been quoted as saying “it is very unlikely that any Jefferson other than Thomas Jefferson was the father of the children.” 2.)
