How do I solve a Host Block Allocation failure on my HP Advancestack router?
This situation results in the following entries in the event log: -> software exception at ip_util.c:332 — task ID = 41 -> Host block allocation failed, no memory and refers to a shortage of entries in the router’s ARP and PROBE tables. The fix is to set Host Cache to Yes, which turns on ARP and PROBE cache aging. The default for Host Cache (aging) is No (off).
