How do i slow down my elec/gas meter without using less energy?
The only legal way to slow down the meter is to use less energy. Change your light bulbs to CFLs, use weather stripping around your windows and doors, turn off the lights when you leave a room, put your high load appliances like computers, tvs, stereo equipment, etc, on power strips and just turn the strips off at night. Open the windows when the weather is mild. You will not only air out your living space, but not having to run the AC or furnace will save a lot of money. Use a clothesline instead of a dryer and you will save considerable. We cut 25%-50% just changing to CFLs and using a clothesline.
