How do i sit when a horse jumps a fence?
If he won’t rein in before the fence, then just before the jump, give him plenty of ‘lead’ meaning loosen the reins so he doesn’t have his head jerked high in the air by your pulling back, where he can’t see and misses and crashes into it…. and you lean forward, almost laying down over his neck, and just go with it… and then after he’s landed and is back at a steady run, THEN try and rein him in. Good luck, this horse needs some serious training. YOU are the boss, even though sometimes you have to trust his instincts too.
