HOW DO I SHIP MY HOUSEHOLD GOODS AND VEHICLE UPON RELEASE FROM HPSP AND ONSET TO ACTIVE DUTY?
A. -STATESIDE ASSIGNMENT (CONUS): Contact the nearest military transportation office (does not have to be Army) for assistance. You can also contact the local recruiting office for points of contact (POC) for the closest military transportation office near you. The Recruiters are more than happy to assist you with setting up appointments and answering your questions. -OVERSEAS ASSIGNMENT (OCONUS): Same as CONUS move. However if you have family members you want to accompany you to this assignment, you must request and submit for concurrent travel of family members immediately. The government must approve concurrent travel before departure or you will not receive reimbursement for any of the expenses. NOTE: Hawaii and Alaska are considered overseas tours.
