How do I share a file or folder over the network using Simple File Sharing?
Note: Simple file and folder sharing is enabled by default. If Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional is installed, simple file sharing can be disabled so the classic sharing user interface is used. Use the following steps to share a file or folder over the network. • Open My Computer. • If you are using the Windows XP default Start menu, from the Start menu, click My Computer. • If you are using the classic Start menu, double-click the My Computer icon on the desktop. • In the My Computer window, double-click the appropriate hard drive and navigate to the data to be shared.
