In the browser version of Webspace, the share icon enables you to share files and folders with both LBNL and non-LBNL users. Share walks you through three steps: • adding users, • setting permissions for them • emailing them a link or ticket through which to access the file or folder While the share icon is the easiest way (and you can use it to do just one of the steps if you want), you can also use the Permissions feature to add users and set permissions. You can also send the link by using Email, Tickets, or by using Copy Link Location and then copying and pasting into an email. Note that for sharing within the lab, you send a link. For sharing outside lab, you send a ticket. Both appear as a link in the email which your colleague receives, but the ticket can be time-sensitive (i.e., restricted to just a few days or months) and can also be password protected.
