How do I setup the User Definable Fields for use in EPICS?
Login to EPICS. From the Files menu select “Configuration”. This will open the Configuration screen. Near the bottom of this screen you will see categories for Cust User Fields, Die User Fields, DieCopy User Fields, Part User Fields, SOEntry User Fields, and SOItem User Fields. Each of these categories corresponds to the EPICS screen from which the user fields are accessed. Expand the appropriate category by clicking the plus sign. Find the field that you want to implement. In the NETWORK column beside that field type the label that you want to appear on the EPICS screen. Click OK at the bottom of the screen. Close EPICS and then login again. The lable will now appear on the screen.
