How do I setup my Blackberry to retrieve MIT IMAP email with Blackberry Internet Services?
Setup from a desktop or laptop computer: 1. Point your browser to your carrier’s Blackberry Internet Services website and follow the instructions to create a user account (what is the address of my BIS server?). 2. During the account setup, you will be asked for the device’s PIN and ESN number. On the Blackberry device navigate to “Options” (this icon may be in the “Settings” folder), click “Status”, your ESN and PIN will be located here. Alternatively you can look for the PIN and ESN information on the outside of the box that your Blackberry device came in. 3. To setup an account, use the following information: Email address: username@mit.edu Password: yourpassword Confirm password: yourpassword Click “Next”. The BIS service will now attempt to automatically configure your MIT email. This process will fail after 30-90 seconds. 4.
