How do I setup Microsoft Outlook 2003 to access my Pacific e-mail account using the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) over HTTP?
Note: • The University of the Pacific (Pacific) provides access to these Remote Procedure Call (RPC) over HTTP instructions and connection for situations where other preferred e-mail access options (OWA, VPN, etc) are not possible. These instructions should be used in full awareness of the Pacific E-mail Policies. • The instructions below are for Microsoft (MS) Outlook 2003. The configuration for older/newer versions of MS Outlook, MS Outlook Express, or other e-mail clients may be different. • These instructions assume you already have an internet connection provided by your personal Internet Service Provider (ISP). Remote Procedure Calls over HTTP: • Install the MS Outlook 2003 application package provided by OIT. This package can be obtained by request after completing the Academic Select 6.0 Staff/Faculty Users Acceptance Form and submitting this form to the Customer Support Center or your local Technical Support Provider (TSP).
