How do i setup a meade etx125 telescope?
Load the BatteriesRemove the telescope from its packing and place it on a stable surface. Take off the battery cover and insert eight AA batteries. See the inside of the battery compartment for correct orientation of the batteries. Replace the battery cover. Place the telescope on its base with the eyepiece barrel pointing upward. Place the eyepiece into the barrel and tighten the thumbscrew at the base of the barrel to hold the eyepiece in place.Hook up the ComputerRemove the dustcover from the end of the telescope. Make sure the computer control is “OFF” and plug the Autostar hand box cord into the socket labeled “HBX.” Plug the other end of the cord into the Autostar hand box. Tighten the horizontal lock and the vertical lock to a firm feel, being careful not to over-tighten.Turn it OnTurn the computer control switch to “ON.” Press “Mode” on the hand box.
