To set up the answering machine follow these steps: • Select Tools / Options • Select the Voice Mail tab • Select one of the following voice mail greetings to record: Standard Select this option to record or modify the standard voice mail greeting presented to callers. After recording, leave this option selected to play this message to callers when they enter your voice mail to leave a message. Extended Absence Select this option to record or modify the voice mail greeting to be presented to callers when you will be unavailable for an extended length of time, such as away training or vacation. After recording, leave this option selected to play this message to callers when they enter your voice mail to leave a message. Other Select this option to record or modify an alternative voice mail greeting to be presented to callers. After recording, leave this option selected to play this message to callers when they enter your voice mail to leave a message.

Prior to programming, follow the instructions that came with your Voice Mail and connect the Voice Mail ports to analog extension ports (extensions 316-323). If you are using the PFT/MDM port for a Power Failure Telephone or Modem Cut-through, do not use extension 316 for Voice Mail.
