How do I set up Snow Leopards wireless Wake on Demand function?
For a long time, Macs have had Wake on Demand (also known as Wake on LAN) for wired Ethernet connections, which makes it possible to send a magic packet to a sleeping computer on your local network in order to wake that computer up so that you can access it remotely. Until now, though, it wasn’t possible to use Wake on Demand to wake sleeping Macs that connect to the network wirelessly. Being easily pleased, we were happy to learn that Snow Leopard would include support for wireless Wake on Demand. As it turns out, the feature is available in Snow Leopard but for a smaller group of users that we hoped.
