How do I set up SMS using a mobile phone and iBus//Mobile?
You need to attach the mobile phone to the computer on which the iBus//Mobile Gateway will be running. This is done either using a serial cable, or by inserting a modem card into the PC using either the PCMCIA or PCI slots. A list of supported cellular phones and modem cards is provided in the iBus//Mobile Installation manual, System Requirements section. You must then edit the file %IBUSMOB_HOME%\gateway\etc\ibusmobile_config.xml file and change the entries “port” and “speed” which are located in the “SmsTransceiver” property group. For example: change the default value of COM5 to the port in which the mobile phone is connected to. The default transmission speed (baud rate) is 115200, you should check to make sure the mobile phone will support this. Please note that if the phone is connected to the Gateway via serial cable, then you really don’t need to install any modem device driver software, since iBus//Mobile only utilizes the basic text messaging capabilities of the integrated mo
