But if you did know what company made it then do this… 1. Go to manufacturer’s website and download the driver for the correct MODEL of the mouse. 2. Install mouse driver. Go “Contol Panel” to configure mouse software. 3. o/s XP, right mouse click “My Computer” go Properties, Hardware tab, Device Manager, scroll down to “Mice and other Pointing Devices” to see if it is registered, and also check “USB Human Interface Device” in the same window to see if your usb connections are functioning. There should be NO YELLOW question marks in this window pertaining to USB and Mice Pointing Devices. If it was a wired mouse with no name or model, you can just plug it into the ports and it will work.
