How do i set up a wireless internet connection with vista and a linksys router?
Z hgere is quite correct but if you would like to put security onto the router, i would recommend you to open your web browser, and type in the ip address of the router, this will taske you to a router program page and from there, go to a tab which says wireless encryption, type in a code you want, make sure you do this on the old pc, and then turn on the wifi on your new pc/laptop, search and click on the one that has full signal, type in the code that you did earlier, and thats it, you put security on the outer, now no one can gain access to your internet. PS to get the IP address look in the manufacturers booklet that came with the router. Hope This helps.
