How do i set up a wireless internet connection on my laptop. i already have dsl for my main computer..?
Plug the network cable from your dsl modem into the internet port of your router. It will be labeled internet or wan. Take another netowrk cable and plug one end in you main computer and the other end in an empty port on your router. Turn your router on and wait a few minutes then see if you can get on the internet on you main computer. If that’s working then try it on your laptop, some laptops have built-in wireless adaptors and some of those have a physical switch to turn them on and off. If you do not have a built-in wireless adaptor then you will need to buy a pcmia wireless card or a usb wireless adaptor. Sometimes you will have to physically connect to a wireless network the first time, some sort of user protection feature that Microhell has put in because they think the end user is stupid.
